In The Court Of The Crimson King il primo album dei King Crimson si apre con questa canzone contro la guerra "21st Century Shizoid Man".
L'album che si apriva con questa canzone rappresenta per molti la nascita del movimento progressive rock (i temi sono stati ripresi da tanti gruppi progressive, a cominciare dai Genesis) ma definirlo solo come pietra miliare è sicuramente riduttivo.
Il Re Cremisi, per chi non ne fosse a consocenza, altro non era che Federico II di Svevia, il primo uomo moderno, il nemico della Chiesa (non per niente fu proprio quest'ultima a trovargli quell'affettuoso soprannome dal sapore mefistofelico).

21st Century Schizoid Man, ovvero "Uomo schizoide del ventunesimo secolo" ha questo bellissimo testo contro la guerra.

Il 26  ottobre è prevista l'uscita in Italia) “Genesis Revisited II”,Steve rivisita canzoni della sua prima band e alcune della sua carriera solista legate però a doppio filo all’esperienza Genesis.

Genesis Revisited II sarà in vendita in doppio cd ad edizione limitata o in vinile (4 LP + 2 CD!). Questa la scaletta (quasi due ore e mezza di musica!).

Davvero incredibile ed entusiasmante è la collaborazione con altri musicisti d'eccellenza della scena prog internazionale che accompagnano Steve Hackett in questa rivisitazione: Nad Sylvan (cantante del gruppo Unifaun), Steven Wilson (chiatarrista e cantante dei Porcupine Tree e di altri innumerevoli gruppi, clicca qui per approfondire), Nik Kershaw, Simon Collins ( un musicista con cui Steve Hachett collaborò nel passato suonando in U-Catastrophe by Simon Collins (2008) nella prima canzone del disco), Francis Dunnery, John Wetton, Mikael Akerfeldt,(Opeth) Neal Morse fra gli altri, mentre alla chitarra Steve chiede aiuto a Steve Rothery  (Marillion) e Roine Stolt , John Hackett, Jakko Jakszyk ( 21st Century Schizoid Man e King Crimson Projeckt)
